Roald Dahl (Ausowlish) is the name of a new David Austin creation released in Australia this year.

Named to mark the centenary of the writer's birth, this rose brings to mind images of “James and the Giant Peach” with its soft orange-red buds that open to medium-sized, beautifully cupped and robust rosettes of a perfect apricot.

Roald Dahl (Ausowlish) matures to an attractive well-round, healthy bushy shrub with few thorns.

Bathsheba (Auschimbley) was inspired by the heroine of Thomas Hardy’s Far from the Madding Crowd. 

Its apricot-pink, soft yellow, shallow cups have many petals turning into cream towards the outside. 

Blooms have a beautiful myrrh fragrance with hints of honey and Tea. 

This new David Austin variety is a short vigorous climber.
