It's officially Budding Season for us, with our three Scottish budders now working long hours, and Brian, Rob, Kevin and Fariq every day busy cutting and cleaning budwood for all the rose varieties we grow.

David is budding all the standards, while Lewis and Harry are sharing the bush plants.

It's a huge job - essential for our business - that will keep us busy at least until March.

Placing your bare root order now would help us budding the correct amount of your favourite varieties, and avoid disappointments.

Don't forget that our prices for bare root roses will remain the same of last season until the end of this year. They'll increase on January 1st, 2021.

And while you're planning your garden for next winter, have a look at our ideas for Christmas: a rose is always a lovely gift, especially now that we are all home looking after our living space, planning some renovations and enjoying our garden.

In your garden this month...

Anytime is good to plant a new rose in your garden, and in this video Brian shows you how to plant a potted rose: easy, quick and soon rewarding.

Remember to water, water and water! Fertilise every two weeks and remove the dead flowers to promote new growth.

Brian recommends a regular and general maintenance in the next few months, without forgetting to look after your gardening tools.

In this video, Brian shows how you should clean and sharpen your secateurs.

And if you want to know how to grow strong and beautiful roses, here is the link to all Brian's tutorial videos.
