These are rose varieties double-grafted on 90cm root-stock sticks or stems; they’ll grow like little trees with a bushy top of the size and shape you like and you’ll give them with your pruning.

Standards roses can be potted or planted behind shrubs, bushes, miniature or groundcovers to create colourful and beautiful layers.

They are easier to prune and to maintain, and when planted they’ll need support, up to the bud union (when the rose is grafted) by a good quality garden stake.
